Damascus, SANA – Interior Minister Anas Khattab received Wednesday the Regional Director of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for the Middle East and North Africa, Othman Belbeisi, and his accompanying delegation at the Interior Ministry in Damascus.
They discussed ways to enhance cooperation and develop coordination in areas of common interest.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed mechanisms to support humanitarian and development efforts in Syria and meet emergency needs, in a way that contributes to providing a stable and appropriate environment for the return of refugees.
The two sides also stressed the importance of continuous coordination and cooperation on various humanitarian issues in the region.
