Damascus, SANA- A delegation from the General Directorate of Syrian Border Guards forces, led by Brigadier General Bassam Shaaban, visited the Turkish Coast Guard Command on Tuesday.
During the meeting, both sides explored avenues to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchanged technical and operational expertise aimed at enhancing border security.
The visit follows the Syrian Ministry of Interior’s announcement last May to establish the Border Guard Directorate, tasked with safeguarding Syria’s land and maritime borders and combating illegal activities in coordination with neighboring countries.
