Justice Ministry vows swift prosecution in Diala Solhi al-Wadi Murder Case

Damascus, SANA- -Minister of Justice Dr. Mazhar al-Weis affirmed that the ministry is seriously and resolutely following up on the judicial procedures taken against those involved in the heinous crime that claimed the life of Diala Solhi al-Wadi and shook the conscience of the entire community.

The Minister of Justice stated in a tweet on the (X) platform that the arrest of those involved was made possible thanks to the tireless efforts of security personnel affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, and under the direct supervision of Damascus Public Attorney.

He added, while we commend these swift efforts, we direct all relevant judicial bodies to expedite the investigation and trial procedures, ensuring prompt justice and the application of the maximum deterrent punishment in accordance with the law, so that it serves as an example to anyone who would dare to violate the sanctity of innocent lives.”

Minister al-Weis pointed out that justice will not be fully achieved until every criminal receives the punishment they deserve, and that the public conscience will not rest until the law is implemented against the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
