Damascus, SANA-General Directorate of Meteorology warned that the severe heat wave will continue until Friday, August 15th.
The directorate said, on its official website that maximum temperatures in coastal regions and mountains will range between 34 and 38 degrees, while in eastern regions, al-jazeera and al-Badia will range between 45 and 48 degrees, and in the interior regions between 42 and 45 degrees, noting that the humidity rate is high in the western regions.
The statement added that wind is expected to be active accompanied by thunderstorms and rain showers over the southern regions, al-Qalamoun, central region, and coastal region.
