SCD personnel stage solidarity protest for demanding the release Hamza al-Amarin

Governorates, SANA – Syrian Civil Defense personnel gathered in several governorates in a solidarity protest to demand the immediate release of their workmate Hamza al-Amarin, who was abducted by armed groups Sweida on July 16 while on a humanitarian mission. The protesters also their rejection of all forms of assaults against humanitarian workers.

Participants stated that the kidnapping of al-Ammarin constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and all international laws and conventions. They demanded his immediate release and safe return to his work and family.

They held the armed groups in Sweida the full responsible for his safety and called on the international community, human rights and humanitarian organizations, the media, and all those who believe in the values of justice and freedom to take immediate action to pressure for his release and hold those responsible for his abduction accountable.
