New Delhi, SANA-Nine people lost their lives today after a section of a bridge collapsed in the Padra region of Gujarat State, India.
According to The Hindu, Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel stated: about five to six vehicles including trucks and cars fell into the Mahisagar River after a section of the Jambira Bridge collapsed. The bridge spans the river and connects Central Gujarat with the Saurashtra region. As a result, nine people died, and search operations for those missing are still underway.
The minister added that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.
