Turkish security forces arrest 153 people on charges of belonging to “ISIS”

Ankara, SANA- Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Friday the arrest of 153 people on charges of belonging to the terrorist organization “ISIS”.

Anadolu Agency quoted Yerlikaya as saying in a post on the X platform: “The gendarmerie forces carried out operations against the terrorist organization “ISIS” in 28 provinces over the past two weeks, and were able to arrest 153 people accused of affiliation to the organization.”

Yerli Kaya noted that investigations revealed that these individuals were indeed members of the terrorist organization, had funded alleged “relief organizations” linked to ISIS, and had promoted its interests through their social media accounts.
