Lebanese Prime Minister condemns the terrorist bombing that targeted a church in Damascus

Beirut, SANA – Lebanese Prime Minister Dr, Nawaf Salam condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist bombing that targeted on Sunday St. Elias Church in the Duwaila, which claimed a number of innocent victims.

“President Salam condemns this despicable criminal act that targeted Syria and its people and aims to sow discord and division within the Syrian national unity, affirms the Lebanese government’s full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic in its efforts to preserve its security and stability, and expresses Lebanon’s readiness to cooperate and coordinate in everything that would enhance security and confront terrorism”, the Lebanese presidency said in a statement.

Salam expressed confidence in “Syria’s ability to overcome these ordeals and confront any malicious schemes that seek to destabilize stability or undermine Syrian national unity”.
