Delta plane flips upside down on landing at Toronto airport, injuring 18

Toronto, SANA- A Delta Air Lines flight has flipped upside down upon landing at Toronto Pearson Airport on Feb 17 amid windy weather following a snowstorm, injuring 18 of the 80 people on board but causing no deaths.

Delta Air Lines said in a statement that “Initial reports indicate there are no fatalities and 18 passengers with injuries have been transported to area hospitals. Our primary focus is taking care of those impacted.”

In turn, Deborah Flint, the CEO of Greater Toronto Airports Authority, said there had been no loss of life and those on board had suffered only “relatively minor injuries”.

Canadian authorities said they would investigate the cause of the crash, which was not yet known.
