Seoul, Sept. 14 (SANA) South Korea on Monday condemned recent Houthi militia attacks on civilian and economic facilities in Saudi Arabia that caused civilian casualties, calling for an immediate end to the attacks.
“Attacks on civilians and civilian facilities, as well as acts that undermine the freedom and safety of navigation, cannot be justified under any circumstances,” the South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by Yonhap News Agency.
The ministry urged the Houthi militia to halt the attacks immediately and refrain from actions that could further escalate tensions.
It said peace and stability in the Middle East, including free and safe navigation in the Red Sea, were vital to the international community because of their importance to global supply chains and energy security.
