Occupied Jerusalem, Aug. 13 (SANA) The death toll from the Israeli war of genocide on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 73,389, with 174,266 others wounded, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Thursday.
The ministry said 1,260 Palestinians had been killed and 4,154 wounded since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10 last year.
A number of victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them, it added.
The Israeli war of genocide has left Gaza facing a severe humanitarian crisis, with widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure and essential services severely disrupted.
The crisis has been compounded by Israeli occupation restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid and materials needed for reconstruction, despite provisions in the ceasefire agreement calling for their unrestricted entry.
