Brussels, July 18 (SANA) Belgium has announced a ban on imports of products originating from Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.

According to Türkiye’s Anadolu Agency, the federal government approved the measure during its latest Cabinet meeting on Saturday. Details on how the ban will be implemented have not yet been announced.

The move follows growing calls in Europe to restrict trade with Israeli settlements. On June 8, more than one-third of lawmakers from Britain’s ruling Labour Party urged the government to halt trade with settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, while Spain began enforcing restrictions on imports from Israeli settlements last October.

The occupied West Bank has witnessed a continued escalation by Israeli forces and settlers, marked by frequent raids, arrests and attacks targeting Palestinians and their property.
