Beirut, May 8 (SANA) The Lebanese Health Ministry said on Friday that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the town of Touline in Tyre has risen to four, with eight others injured.
According to the National News Agency, the ministry’s Emergency Operations Center said in a statement that the strike earlier in the day resulted in four fatalities, including two women, and eight wounded, including a woman. Earlier reports had indicated two deaths and five injuries.
Israeli warplanes also carried out additional strikes on the town of Yahmar al-Shaqif southern Lebanon, followed by a second raid less than 15 minutes later, while artillery shelling targeted areas near the river toward al-Taybeh. Further airstrikes hit the towns of al-Jmeijmeh and Zawtar al-Sharqiya.
In the Zahrani area, an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in Houmine al-Tahta, while another drone struck the town of Arab al-Jal near Anqoun.
On Thursday, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported that 11 people were killed and 36 injured in a series of Israeli strikes on towns in Nabatieh district.
Two paramedics from the Lebanese Civil Defense were also reported killed on Friday in separate strikes in Hasbaya and Marjayoun districts.
