A Vanuatu flagged cargo ship carrying eight Turkish nationals and one Azerbaijani crew member sank off Andros Greek Island on Wednesday after running aground in the Aegean Sea, Anadolu Agency cited Greek state broadcaster ERT.
The cargo ship was carrying eight tons of soda from Albania to Ukraine when it struck rocks off the coast of Andros Island, causing it to sink, as two crew members were rescued while the other seven were pulled from a rocky shoreline and transported by coast guard teams to the island.
