Doha, April 26 (SANA) Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met his Kazakh counterpart Yermek Kocherbayev in Doha on Sunday to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
Qatar News Agency (QNA) said the two ministers reviewed ways to strengthen relations between Qatar and Kazakhstan and exchanged views on regional dynamics, including efforts to reduce tensions and support stability.
Discussions also touched on a reported ceasefire understanding between the United States and Iran, as well as broader international mediation efforts.
Al Thani stressed the need for all parties to engage constructively with ongoing mediation initiatives, saying such efforts could help address underlying causes of regional tensions through dialogue and lead to more durable agreements.
The meeting comes as contacts between Washington and Tehran enter a sensitive phase, with uncertainty surrounding prospects for further negotiations and diplomatic progress.
