Geneva, April 12 (SANA) – Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières – MSF) warned Sunday of escalating Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, saying living conditions for Palestinians remain catastrophic amid deliberate restrictions on humanitarian aid.
In a statement cited by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the organization said the so-called ceasefire in place since October last year has failed to end the suffering of Palestinians in the enclave.
According to MSF, at least 733 people have been killed and 1,913 injured since the ceasefire began.
The organization noted that its medical teams have carried out more than 40,000 wound dressings for violent injuries, including gunshot wounds and blast-related trauma. More than 60 percent of cases treated in MSF clinics in Gaza City were injuries resulting from direct Israeli attacks.
MSF Emergency Director Claire San Filippo said Israeli authorities are imposing conditions aimed at “destroying the conditions for life,” including systematic restrictions on humanitarian aid and the cancellation of registrations for 37 international relief organizations.
She added that MSF itself has been prevented from bringing medical supplies into Gaza since the beginning of this year.
On the ground, MSF said the Israeli occupation has effectively divided the Gaza Strip through what it described as the “Yellow Line,” confining Palestinians to only 42 percent of the devastated territory.
The organization warned that areas surrounding this line have become a continuous “killing zone” under airstrikes, artillery fire and naval attacks.
MSF called on the international community and Arab countries to apply all possible political pressure to compel Israel, as an occupying power, to protect Palestinians and restore conditions for dignified living.
The organization also urged the Israeli occupation to allow unrestricted entry of humanitarian and medical aid and to enable relief organizations to continue their operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank during 2026.
