Middle East conflict: Egypt and EU condemn Iranian attacks on Arab countries
Egypt and EU jointly condemn Iranian attacks on Arab states.

Cairo, March 14 (SANA) Egypt and the European Union on Saturday condemned ongoing Iranian attacks on several Arab countries, calling for urgent diplomatic action to prevent further escalation.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty spoke by phone with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas to discuss the tension in the Middle East, the foreign ministry said in a statement. Both officials warned that the conflict could spread to additional countries if tensions are not addressed.

The two officials called for urgent diplomatic efforts to end the fighting quickly and prevent further instability, stressing that diplomacy is the only way to safeguard regional and international security and peace.

The region has seen military escalation since February 28, amid the ongoing U.S.-Israeli-Iranian conflict, with Iranian missile and drone strikes targeting key facilities in multiple Arab countries.
