Abu Dhabi, March 5 (SANA) – The United Arab Emirates says its air defenses have intercepted nine ballistic missiles and more than a hundred drones, amid ongoing Iranian attacks across the region.
The Ministry of Defense said 109 of the 112 drones detected were intercepted, while three fell inside the country. It added that since the start of what it called “Iran’s blatant aggression,” more than 200 ballistic missiles and over 1,100 drones had been tracked.
Most were destroyed, though several missiles and dozens of drones fell either inside the UAE or into the sea.
The attacks have left three people dead and more than a hundred others with minor injuries.
Iran has been carrying out missile and drone strikes on multiple Arab states, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, following U.S. Israeli strikes on Iranian targets last week.
