Jeddah, March 5 (SANA)– The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday denounced an attempted ballistic missile strike on Türkiye from Iranian territory and voiced full support for Ankara’s security.
In a statement posted on its official website, the OIC called for an end to actions that could escalate tensions or destabilize the region. It warned that threats to member states weaken the foundations of good neighbourly relations.
Türkiye ‘s Defense Ministry earlier said that a NATO air defense system in the eastern Mediterranean intercepted an Iranian missile headed toward Turkish airspace. No injuries were reported.
