Muscat, March 3 (SANA) – An Omani security source announced Tuesday that three drones were intercepted along the country’s southern coast.
According to Oman News Agency (ONA), two drones were downed over Dhofar Governorate, while a third was intercepted near the vicinity of Salalah Port. No casualties or material damage were reported.
Oman reiterated its condemnation of the attacks, affirming that it will take all necessary measures to safeguard national security.
Earlier in the day, fuel storage tanks at the commercial port of Duqm were targeted by several drones, resulting in damage to one tank.
Since Saturday, Gulf states and Jordan have faced missile and drone attacks following joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
