Doha, March 3 (SANA) Qatar said Iranian missile strikes targeted its entire territory, stressing that the attacks would prompt a response.

The spokesman for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majed al-Ansari, said the country had not been notified in advance of the attacks and that the strikes were not limited to military sites. He added that Qatari forces warned two Iranian warplanes before shooting them down, noting that search operations for their crews are ongoing.

Al-Ansari affirmed that the armed forces remain at the highest level of readiness and that interceptor missile stockpiles were unaffected and sufficient to counter continued threats.

On Monday, he said air defense systems intercepted 89 of 93 Iranian missiles fired toward Qatar amid the ongoing U.S.–Israeli–Iranian conflict. In remarks to CNN, he said the intercepted strikes had targeted civilian infrastructure, including the international airport.

He added that Doha is not currently in contact with Tehran but emphasized that the crisis would ultimately be resolved through dialogue.
