Manama,Mar. 2 (SANA) The Ministry of Interior in Bahrain announced early Monday that a fire broke out on a foreign vessel undergoing maintenance at Salman Industrial City after debris from an intercepted Iranian missile fell on the site, resulting in the death of an Asian worker and the severe injury of two others.
The Bahrain News Agency quoted the ministry as saying that firefighting teams managed to contain and extinguish the blaze.
Earlier, the Interior Ministry confirmed that the Iranian attack targeted a maritime facility near Salman Port, prompting civil defense units to respond and work to control the fire.
The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force stated that its air defense systems successfully destroyed and intercepted a total of 61 missiles and 34 drones launched in the recent wave of attacks.
