Saudi Arabia condemns Iranian attacks and vows steps to protect national security

Riyadh, Feb. 28 (SANA) Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted its territory on Saturday, confirming that it successfully repelled them and that it will take all necessary measures to protect its security and sovereignty.

In a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Kingdom said that the blatant attacks targeting Riyadh and the Eastern Province constitute an unjustified violation that cannot be excused under any pretext.
The Kingdom stressed that Iran launched the attacks despite knowing that Saudi Arabia would not allow its airspace or land to be used to target Iranian territory, calling the assault an unacceptable escalation.

The statement emphasized that defending the Kingdom’s territory, citizens, and residents is a national duty, adding that Saudi Arabia reserves the right to respond to the aggression. It reiterated that the Kingdom’s security is a “red line” that cannot be crossed.

These attacks on Saudi Arabia occurred as part of a broader missile offensive that also targeted Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, following the joint U.S.–Israeli strike on Iran earlier in the day, which hit multiple sites in Tehran and other cities.
