Khartoum, Feb. 24 (SANA) – At least 28 civilians were killed and 39 others wounded after an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces on the town of Mistereiha in North Darfur, western Sudan, according to medical sources.
The assault destroyed the area’s only health facility and triggered mass displacement amid worsening humanitarian conditions. Medical groups called for urgent international action to protect civilians and ensure access to humanitarian aid.
Fighting between the Sudanese army and the RSF has continued since April 2023, killing tens of thousands, displacing millions, and deepening famine in parts of the country.
