Gaza death toll rises to 72,737 as Israeli military operations continue
Widespread destruction is seen in Gaza following Israeli war on the enclave.

Occupied Jerusalem, May 10 (SANA) The death toll from Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,737 since Oct. 7, 2023, while the number of wounded has reached 172,574, according to Palestinian health authorities.

Citing Gaza’s Health Ministry, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that hospitals across the enclave received one body and 39 injured people over the past 24 hours.

Health officials added that since the collapse of the October 10 ceasefire, at least 851 Palestinians have been killed and 2,437 others wounded. Medical teams also said several victims remain trapped under rubble or in areas inaccessible to ambulances and rescue crews.

Separately, Israeli forces continued military operations Sunday in both the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. Palestinian sources reported further casualties, arrests and raids across several areas.
