The Palestinian Civil Defense announced Saturday it has postponed the launch of search and recovery operations for Palestinians trapped under homes destroyed by Israeli forces during the war on Gaza.
The operations, which were scheduled to begin today, were delayed due to the participation of international institutions joining the search teams.
Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal told Palestinian media that the postponement of the first phase of recovery operations is a positive step, as international organizations requested to be part of the effort.
He explained that these institutions will provide the necessary equipment, adding that the launch of search operations will be announced in the coming two days.
Earlier today, the Civil Defense stated that the first phase of search and recovery would begin in coordination with The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
