Qatar, Jordan Stress Urgent Need for Humanitarian Aid Entry into Gaza

Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi called for efforts to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid.

According to the Jordan News Agency Petra, the two ministers discussed developments in Gaza during a phone call, stressing the importance of preserving the ceasefire, ensuring swift aid delivery, and fully implementing the provisions of the ceasefire agreement brokered by Qatari, Egyptian, and U.S. mediation.

Minister Safadi reiterated Jordan’s appreciation for Qatar’s contributions toward securing the agreement.

The ceasefire in Gaza, which came into effect on October 10, has been violated multiple times by Israeli forces. Humanitarian aid has also not been delivered in the agreed-upon volume as outlined in the ceasefire agreement.
