The ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative Conference officially opened on Monday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center. Held under the theme “The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth,” the event will bring together about 650 leading speakers and run until October 30.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the conference began with a series of closed-door sessions aimed at fostering discussions and idea exchange among experts. Topics addressed included the role of innovation in carbon accounting to assess corporate climate performance, the evolving infrastructure of cryptocurrencies and their impact on the global financial system, quantum computing and its potential for returns, and the future of leadership investment.
Attendees will participate in sessions covering critical issues such as artificial intelligence’s effect on productivity, wealth creation amid growing inequality, the geoeconomic consequences of resource scarcity, demographic shifts reshaping the workforce, and strategies for balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability.
In the coming days, heads of state, executives from sovereign wealth funds, business leaders, and pioneers in technology, energy, healthcare, finance, and culture will engage in high-level discussions aimed at shaping the future of global investment, growth, and human progress.
SPA also reported that the conference is expected to attract over 8,000 participants, including 650 prominent experts, who will engage in 250 panel discussions. This solidifies Riyadh’s position as a leading global hub, bringing together innovators and leaders from across the world to transform visionary ideas into actionable strategies for the future of investment.
