Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit confirms absolute solidarity with Qatar

Doha, SANA –

The Final statement of the Emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha:

  • The brutal Israeli aggression against the brotherly State of Qatar, and the continuation of aggressive Israeli practices, including crimes of genocide, ethnic cleansing, starvation and blockade undermine opportunities of achieving peace and peaceful coexistence in the region.
  • We stand in absolute solidarity with the State of Qatar and support it in all steps and measures it takes to respond to the treacherous Israeli aggression to protect its security, sovereignty and stability.
  • The Israeli aggression against Qatar, which serves as a key mediator in efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, represents a dangerous escalation and an assault on diplomatic efforts to restore peace, undermining international mediation and peacemaking processes.
  • The Summits Stressed the need to stand against Israel’s plans to impose a new fait accompli in the region, which pose a direct threat to regional and international stability and security, and the need to confront them.
  • A just, comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East will not be achieved by bypassing the Palestinian issue or attempting to ignore the rights of the Palestinian people, but rather through commitment to the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions.
