Muslim World League: Palestinians Hold Historic and Legal Right to Their Land

Riyad, SANA-Muslim World League strongly condemned the hostile remarks by Israeli minister Bezalel Smotrich advocating the annexation of the West Bank, stressing that such statements violate international legitimacy and undermine prospects for ending the war and achieving peace.

In a statement, Secretary-General of the League and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim al-Issa, denounced Israel’s continued disregard for Palestinian lives and rights. He reaffirmed the justice of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinians’ historic and legal right to their land.

Al-Issa urged the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to end the humanitarian tragedy facing the Palestinian people and to support their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state.
