AP President: We call for European parliamentary stance to stop crimes in Gaza

Geneva, SANA- Arab Parliament President, Mohammad bin Ahmad al-Yamahi, called on Sunday Parliamentary Assembly of Europe Council to play an effective role to stop Israeli occupation’s crimes in Gaza Strip.

That came during a meeting between al-Yamahi and President of Parliamentary Assembly, Theodoros Rousopoulos, on the sidelines of their participation in the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament at UN headquarters in Geneva, according to the Parliament Website.

Al-Yamahi underlined the importance of the meeting particularly in terms of discussing the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza, hailing the Assembly positive stance regarding the Palestinian cause.

In turn, Rousopoulos said that the Assembly is about to vote on a draft resolution to exclude representatives of Knesset due to its crimes in the Strip.

Rousopoulos also affirmed that the top priority is a permanent ceasefire in addition to the unconditional entry of humanitarian and food aid.
