UN calls on Israel to stop targeting aid convoys in Gaza

15 August، 2025

Geneva, SANA-The United Nations Human Rights Office in the Occupied Palestinian Territory called on the Israeli occupation to immediately stop its attacks against Palestinians trying to provide security for humanitarian aid convoys and other supplies.

The UN News Center quoted the office as saying in a statement “Israeli forces must comply with their obligations under international law to facilitate and protect the delivery of humanitarian aid and other life necessities to Gaza Strip “, warning that these attacks contributed significantly to the spread of famine among civilians in Gaza.

The office pointed out that since the beginning of August, it has documented 11 incidents of attacks on Palestinians, while they were working to provide protection for convoys in northern and central Gaza, which resulted in the killing of at least 46 Palestinians.

The office explained that between May 27 and August 13, it documented the killing of at least 1,760 Palestinians while trying to obtain assistance, 994 of whom were killed in the vicinity of the sites of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, and 766 along the routes of supply convoys.
