Damascus, SANA -Minister of Health Dr. Musab al-Ali held a meeting on Thursday with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Faisal Al-Majfal, during which the two parties discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the health sector, in a step that reflects the gradual return of Arab-Syrian coordination at the level of services and infrastructure.
The discussions also included vital areas, most notably the rehabilitation of damaged hospitals, addressing the lack of medical equipment, and renovating health centers, in addition to enhancing cooperation in exchanging experiences and research, joint training, and developing the health infrastructure in Syria.
During the meeting that took place in the ministry building, the two sides stressed the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of coordinating efforts to achieve the advancement of the health sector and pave the way for sustainable cooperation that serves the needs of the Syrian people.
In the same context, Dr. al-Ali clarified that the Health Ministry currently places combating drugs at the top of its priorities, calling for broader cooperation that includes the areas of awareness, treatment, and rehabilitation of recovering people, and praising the Saudi experience in this field.
