Damascus, SANA- Dr. Maher al-Sharaa, the Acting Minister of Health, has conducted an inspection tour of the General Authority of Al-Zahrawi Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology in Damascus to evaluate the status and readiness of its operations and address the needs of its staff.
The tour included visits to various departments such as the Blood Bank, Laboratory, Incubators, Labor and Delivery, Radiology, Mammography, Gynecology Clinics, Operating Rooms, and the Midwives’ Residence.
Dr. Al-Sharaa emphasized the ministry’s efforts to provide the necessary resources to improve the condition of healthcare facilities.
He noted that the ministry is currently working in collaboration with international organizations and associations to address deficiencies in hospitals and healthcare centers, thereby enhancing the delivery of medical services to citizens.
For his part, the hospital’s Director, Dr. Nidal Miftah, presented an overview of the hospital’s current situation, highlighting the need for renewal, modernization, equipment rehabilitation, and addressing the challenges faced by the medical, administrative, and technical staff.
