Raqqa, Jan. 23 (SANA) Deputy Minister of Health for Health Affairs, Dr Hussein al-Khatib, inspected medical facilities in Raqqa on Friday, during a tour that included the Maternity Hospital and the National Hospital, aimed at reviewing operations and identifying the healthcare sector’s needs in the province.
Al-Khatib stressed, during his visit to the Maternity Hospital, the need to equip the hospital with modern medical devices and rehabilitate several floors to improve the quality of patient services. He also inspected sections of the National Hospital, which is currently operating from a secondary building despite having advanced medical equipment such as CT scanners, MRI machines, and a dialysis unit.
He noted that the ministry will mobilize all necessary resources to restore and rehabilitate the main building of the National Hospital, ensuring the provision of medical services that meet citizens’ growing needs.
