Syrian Health Minister Musab Al-Ali met on Monday with a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to discuss strengthening joint cooperation in the health sector.
Al-Ali stressed the importance of developing a strong partnership between Syria and Germany, noting the challenges facing the Syrian health system, including damaged infrastructure and shortages of medical equipment and medicines.
The minister said the Health Ministry continues to provide comprehensive and fair services, especially for women, children, and cancer patients.
The GIZ delegation highlighted the need to study funding options for upcoming health projects.
