Syrian Health Minister, Jordanian Ambassador Discuss Joint Cooperation in Healthcare

Syrian Health Minister Musab Al-Ali met Monday with Jordanian Ambassador to Damascus Sufyan Al-Qudah to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Health, focused on developing healthcare services through the exchange of expertise and joint projects aimed at improving patient care. Al-Ali stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to strengthen Syria’s medical sector and elevate the quality of services provided.

Ambassador Al-Qudah expressed Jordan’s appreciation for the longstanding fraternal ties between the two countries and affirmed his country’s readiness to support Syria’s healthcare system. He highlighted the possibility of establishing a rapid-deployment field hospital staffed by experienced personnel, noting Jordan’s prior success implementing similar initiatives in other countries.

Al-Qudah also emphasized cooperation in pharmaceutical projects and practical medical training to enhance professional standards in Syria. He noted the challenges Syria faced during the previous regime and contrasted them with the current opportunities for collaboration and development.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Health Minister Hussein Al-Khatib, Director of Planning and International Cooperation Zuheir Al-Qarat, and other senior officials. The discussions mark a continued effort to advance healthcare services in Syria through regional partnership with Jordan.
