Damascus, SANA – Minister of Higher Education Marwan al-Halabi and Chairman of the National Commission for Missing Persons Mohammad Reda Jalakhi inspected the Biotherapeutics Research Center at Damascus University, reviewing its readiness and advanced equipment.
The officials emphasized the importance of cooperation between the ministry and the commission in training, capacity building, and DNA testing to support the work on missing persons.
Al-Halabi highlighted the center’s potential for advanced medical research, while Jalakhi praised its modern infrastructure and role in developing national expertise.
Established in 2022, the center serves as a biotechnology hub connecting Damascus University research labs and national scientific institutions.
