Health laws and decrees necessitating amendment are discussed

Damascus, SANA-Syrian Health Minister Dr. Musab al-Ali discussed with a delegation from the Legal Affairs Committee of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, headed by Judge Firas Shawardi, the laws and decrees that require amendment or revoke in the health sector.

Participants in the meeting held Thursday discussed the decrees of establishing blood banks and Syrian Pharmaceutical Corporation, along with the laws of private hospitals in accordance with the Constitutional Declaration and the strategy of encouraging investment in the health sector.

Al-Ali stressed the need to define objectives of the law to achieve a corruption-free healthcare sector characterized by transparency, integrity, and efficiency.

In turn, the delegation explained the importance of cooperating with the Ministry to develop a legal vision, form a working and communication team, and cooperate to complete the work and advance the health sector, and update and develop old legislations, hailing the great cooperation from the ministry to facilitate the performance of the Committee’s work and the completion of its tasks.
