Damascus Countryside,SANA – Commander of Internal Security in the Damascus Countryside Governorate, Brigadier General Ahmad al-Dalati: Specialized units, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Service, after close monitoring and intensive field work, were able to arrest a cell affiliated with the Hezbollah militia, which was operating in the towns of Sa’sa’ town and Kanaker in western Damascus countryside.
Syrian security units, working jointly with the General Intelligence Directorate, have detained several individuals described as members of a Hezbollah-affiliated cell, according to a statement issued Thursday.
The arrests took place during a “high-precision security operation” in the towns of Sa’sa’ and Kanaker, located southwestern suburbs of Damascus.
Brigadier General Ahmad al-Dalati: The case has been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action, while relevant agencies continue to investigate the detainees to uncover their full connections and objectives.
