Syria launches first digital application licensed by Ministry of Information

Idlib , SANA -In a landmark move, the city of Idlib witnessed Tuesday the launch of “Green Pages,” the first digital application in Syria officially licensed by the Ministry of Information. The platform is designed to streamline commercial and service activities by connecting businesses directly with consumers through a unified digital interface.

The launch was announced during an official ceremony attended by Idlib City Council President Ahmad Dukhan, where the app was presented as a comprehensive electronic directory offering easy access to essential services such as pharmacies and daily utilities—part of Syria’s broader digital transformation efforts.

Syrian entrepreneur and developer Samer Said Issa noted that “Green Pages” was initially introduced in Saudi Arabia and is now being officially launched in his hometown of Idlib. The app is expected to fully cover the city within two months, with plans to expand its services gradually across all Syrian provinces.

Issa emphasized that the project’s primary goal is to simplify daily life by providing a reliable, up-to-date database of commercial and service activities, enhancing service efficiency and accessibility for citizens.
