Interior Ministry reported that two people were killed and several others injured in a random shooting at a café in the village of Umm Hartin in western Homs Sunday’s evening. The assailants remain unidentified, according to an Interior Ministry statement .
The Ministry said that relevant authorities immediately took steps to secure the scene, investigate the circumstances of the attack, and apprehend the perpetrators for prosecution. Measures were also implemented to protect civilians and maintain public safety.
The Interior Ministry condemned the incident as a “heinous crime” and reiterated its rejection of all forms of violence that threaten the security and stability of the community.
