Ministry of Higher Education bans publication of any content inciting hate speech and sectarianism

Damascus, SANA- The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has issued a decision prohibiting the publication, circulation, or promotion—by any means—of any content that incites hatred, sectarianism, or racism, or undermines national unity and civil peace.

The ministry emphasized that any violation of this decision by faculty members, students, employees of the ministry, or individuals affiliated with public and private universities, higher institutes, and entities linked to the minister will result in disciplinary, civil, and criminal accountability.

Offenders may face referral to specialized councils for disciplinary action, which could include final dismissal or legal prosecution, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The ministry has tasked university presidents, deans of higher institutes, directors of university cities, and all general directors of affiliated entities with ensuring the implementation of this decision.
