On Int. Day of Education…  Syria affirms commitment to education for all students

Damascus, Jan.24 (SANA)-Ministry of Education has reaffirmed its commitment to rebuilding the education sector across all Syrian regions, in a manner that guarantees the right to learning for all children without exception.

On the occasion of the International Day of Education, the Ministry said in a statement Saturday that education represents the fundamental pillar of comprehensive development and future-building.

It also affirmed that its efforts continue to focus on rebuilding schools and rehabilitating educational staff to ensure that students receive high-standard education that keeps pace with challenges and strengthen their ability to face the future.

The Ministry noted that it will spare no effort to supporting teachers and will continue working to provide a suitable educational environment, believing that they deserve all appreciation and support.

The International Day of Education is observed annually on January 24, following the announcement by the United Nations General Assembly on December 3, 2018, under Resolution 73/25, designating this day to emphasize the essential role of education in building societies and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
