Syrian Education Ministry completes renovation of 823 schools

The Syrian Ministry of Education announced the completion of renovations on 823 schools since Syria’s liberation on December 8 of last year, while work continues on 838 schools across various provinces.

Hamza Hourieh, Director of the Ministry’s Media Office, stated to SANA’s correspondent Saturday that the school renovation efforts are part of the ministry’s broader initiative to rebuild educational infrastructure. He emphasized that this is a top priority at this stage, as it plays a vital role in creating a safe and conducive learning environment that attracts students and revitalizes the educational process.

Hourieh noted that the renovated schools were distributed as follows: 32 in Homs, 52 in Damascus countryside, 88 in Damascus, 96 in Tartous, 56 in Hama, 12 in Quneitra, 48 in Deir Ezzor, 34 in Latakia, 46 in Aleppo, 39 in Daraa, and 320 in Idlib.
