The first Turkish exhibition of textile machinery and supplies kicks off at the Damascus Fairgrounds

Damascus countryside, SANA- The first Turkish exhibition of textile machinery and supplies kicked off on Thursday at the Damascus Fairgrounds, with the participation of approximately 40 Turkish companies specializing in textiles and production supplies.

In a press statement during the opening of the exhibition, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Turkish Embassy in Syria, Burhan Köroğlu, clarified that the exhibitions constitute an opportunity for greater acquaintance between Syrian and Turkish industrialists, not only to import goods, but also to contribute to joint production and investment, especially since the Syrian workforce is known for its skill and efficiency.

“The companies represented at this exhibition can be considered not only Turkish but also Syrian, given the active participation of Syrian manufacturers in Turkish factories”, Köroğlu pointed out adding that Syrian manufacturers are therefore an effective and genuine partner in developing the Turkish textile industry.

The exhibition aims to enhance trade exchange between Syria and Turkey, and open new horizons for industrial cooperation, especially in light of the growing interest in developing the local textile sector, which is one of the pillars of the Syrian economy.
