Damascus, SANA- Maher Khalil al-Hasan, Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry for Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, met with a delegation from Mercy Corps Organization to discuss ways to develop partnerships and cooperation in economic development, particularly in support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The meeting reviewed a number of proposed models for feasible small projects that align with the ministry’s priorities and economic recovery plans.
They also discussed training and qualification programs targeting personnel working in this vital sector.
Al-Hasan stressed the ministry’s readiness to provide all necessary facilities to ensure the success of the organization’s future programs, emphasizing the importance of partnerships with international organizations in supporting sustainable development and empowering economically vulnerable groups within Syria.
