Damascus, SANA- Finance Minister Dr. Mohammad Yusr Barniyeh , met Tuesday with Bahraini Ambassador in Damascus, Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, and discussed with him procedures for recovering the frozen funds of the Commercial Bank of Syria in Bahraini banks, in light of License 25 issued by the US Department of the Treasury.
The Ministrr explained that ‘’opportunities to benefit from Bahraini expertise and experience were discussed in several fields, including digitization, the financial sector, and the health and education sectors, as a follow-up to the understandings that took place during the recent visit of the President of the Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He expressed his great appreciation for the support provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain, out of its concern for Syria’s stability and prosperity.
