Damascus, March 29 (SANA) – The 24th edition of the international construction exhibition Buildex will open in Damascus on June 10 with the participation of 630 companies from 41 countries, organizers said on Sunday.

The five-day event, held at the Damascus Fairgrounds under the patronage of the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, will cover more than 140,000 square meters and feature 220 international companies and 410 local firms showcasing construction technologies, finishing materials and engineering equipment.

Local Administration and Environment Minister Mohammad Anjarani said the scale of international participation reflects growing interest in the Syrian market and opportunities linked to future reconstruction efforts.

He added that the exhibition provides a platform for regional and international engineering consultancies, as well as professional associations and contractors, to exchange expertise and explore cooperation.

Mohammad Hamza, director general of the Syrian Exhibition and International Markets Authority, said trade fairs have become an important part of Syria’s economic recovery and a venue for strengthening partnerships across production sectors.

Alaa Hilal, director of the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, said the 2026 edition will display more than 120,000 products representing around 1,800 brands, with a business-to-business program enabling companies to arrange meetings during the event.

Buildex will run from June 10 to June 14, with daily opening hours from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., allowing visitors to explore the latest developments in construction and building technologies in Syria and the region.
