Damascus, Feb. 10 (SANA) – Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar, met on Tuesday with Nathalie Fustier, Resident Coordinator for United Nations Development Activities in Syria, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the ministry and the UN team in the country.
The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, focused on mechanisms to strengthen mutual support between Syrian ministries and UN agencies, particularly in areas of sustainable development and achieving shared development objectives.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the Ministry of Economy and Industry and UN agencies to ensure effective results that support the national economy and advance development pathways.
The discussions are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the partnership between Syria and the United Nations system, aiming to support development programs and projects, especially in economic recovery, capacity-building, and livelihood improvement, contributing to sustainable development while aligning with national priorities in the coming phase.
